Substation relay technician.
Be willing to work in greenfield and brownfield substations in various stages of energization. Must be intimate with substation protection and controls and their implementation. Familiar with relay logic and testing. Able to understand three phase systems. Familiar with live CT work, CT testing and wringing out CT cables. Able to upload relay settings. Knowledge of RTU’s is a plus. Familiarity with Omicron test sets and test universe a plus. Experience with electromechanical relays a plus. Able to travel for short periods of time (typically will not exceed 2 weeks, however, longer stints are possible with advanced notice to technician) to various job sites located anywhere within Texas / Oklahoma panhandle and southeastern New Mexico.
• High performing candidates may be able to transition to higher paying positions such as Commissioning Engineer, Project Manager, Field Service Manager, Operations Manager
• Experience
o 5 years of field experience in substation protection and controls testing.
 Experience that may translate well
• Developing relay settings
• Substation design and commissioning
• Residence
o Preferred candidate will live in the Texas / Oklahoma panhandle and southeastern New Mexico.
• Education
o Electrical engineering and associated degrees a plus but not required
