Substation Construction Craft Personnel – El Paso, TX

Janikin Energy is recruiting experienced craft personnel for a major multi-substation construction programme in El Paso, Texas. We need people who can work effectively in the field, with a particular emphasis on underground electrical construction.
The programme is expected to continue through 2028. We are seeking candidates for multiple craft classifications, from experienced foremen to hands-on electrical, welding, equipment and ground crews.

| Groundman | $20–$29/hr | $30–$35/hr |
Welders: Level 1 (helper/fabricator/uncertified): $25–$34/hr. Level 2 (6G certified): $38–$48/hr.
Overtime: Time and a half after 40 hours in a workweek.
Rotation: 13 days on, 1 day off.
Working hours: 12 hours Monday–Friday and 10 hours Saturday–Sunday on scheduled working days.
Per diem: Available; amountu and eligibility details will be confirmed with candidates.
The work
Depending on your craft, responsibilities may include trenching and underground installation; duct banks, conduit and raceways; cable installation and terminations; grounding; substation equipment installation; welding; and operation of construction equipment. The work will involve coordination between electrical, civil and equipment crews on active substation sites.
We are particularly interested in hands-on substation personnel who have carried out the underground work themselves. Experience on utility-scale electrical or power-infrastructure projects is valuable; for electrical applicants, please be specific about your personal involvement with conduit, duct banks, cable, grounding and terminations.
