SWA is looking for experienced traveling machinists for an industrial job shop in Arizona. The shop runs multiple projects at once, so the work varies day to day. The jobs are repair and rebuild work on industrial rotating equipment.

Openings: Manual Machinists, CNC Machinist
Pay: $38–45/hr depending on experience
Per Diem: $68 per day / $51 travel pay (Hotel, airfare, and rental car provided)
Hours: 50 guaranteed per week, overtime after 40
Duration: 6 months, with possible extension
Start: ASAP

Must Haves:

• Resume Required
• 3+ years of machining experience in a job shop or repair shop preferred
• Must pass background check and drug screen

MANUAL MACHINISTS
Experience required:

• Shaft turning and keyway cutting
• Flange facing and bolt circles
• Threading shafts
• General manual mill and lathe work
• Blueprint reading and precision measuring (mics, bore gauges, indicators)

CNC MACHINISTS
Must be able to assist with setups and operate:

• Haas VF-7 and VF-3 (vertical mills)
• Haas SL-40 (lathe)
• Romi C 620 (lathe)

Also required:

• Tool and work offsets
• Basic program edits at the control
• First-article and in-process inspection
