PDS Tech is currently seeking a Field Service Technician for our client in Renton, WA
Occupational Summary:
The Field Service Technician II provides on-site support for Aerospace Seats pertaining to interiors manufactured in USA, France, and Great Britain. The team of Field Service Technicians provides assistance to Air Framer / Airline customers during the build of the Aircraft specific to installation issues, damaged parts, reworking pickups, cosmetic defects and any customer relations issues we have. Rework areas include: Receiving, BFE, Factory and Flight line relating to all built Aircraft with Client Seats product. All rework preformed at the Air Framer must adhere to Client Seats drawings, specifications, and specific rework instructions. This position will work under general supervision and reports to the OSS Manager on a daily basis. This position handles moderately complex issues and problems, and refers more highly complex issues to higher-level technicians.

Duties and Responsibilities (essential functions):
Rework and stamp pickups self-identified and/or written by Air Framer and/or customer during the build of the Aircraft.

- Replace/troubleshoot faulty electronic components and other damaged parts, adjusting misaligned panels / trim pieces, provide assistance to the Air Framer seat installation team and other miscellaneous tasks given.
- Sustains a high-quality level of workmanship at all times.
- Responds promptly to all communication (telephone, etc.) with Air Framer personnel and customers.
- Maintain a good rapport with Air Framer personnel and customers.
- Follow Client /Air Framer safety guidelines or processes established by the organization at all times.
- Submits accurate part order requests and understands the POA / SOA process at Air Framer / Client.
- Responsible for driving company van and other technicians safely around Air Framer/Client Facilities.
- Attend daily standup/tie-in meeting.
- Adhere to Air Framer /Client training requirements that relate to Flight line, Safety, and other course overviews throughout the year.
- Coordinate verbally with QAs, Engineers, Leads, Technicians, and other key Air Framer / Client personnel on a daily basis.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements:
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of client passenger seating preferred.
- Basic knowledge of CMMs, Drawings and other important technical documents.
- Natural mechanical ability with hand and power tools.
- Basic computer knowledge and have some familiarity with MS office applications.
- Proficient using smart phones / tablets on a daily basis to send emails, pictures and other applications.
- Ability to work efficiently under stressful situations.
- Follows instructions and complete jobs in a timely manner.
- Customer service is essential for this job and the employee must have excellent communication skills, verbally and handwritten.
- Must have the availability to work various hours, after hours and weekend as needed.
- Must have ability to maintain multiple tasks simultaneously, including the ability to manage assignments from more than one customer during any given day.
- Willing to travel to other Air Framer FALs in other state and other international client sites on some occasion.
- Valid drivers license, clean driving record and the ability to obtain a passport.

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates Degree in a related technical field preferred.
- 2 years of Field Service experience related to troubleshooting and repairs required. Prefer field service related experience on aircraft interiors.
Competencies:

Communication Skills:
Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment. Ability to read and review written communication. Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve problems and think strategically.
Physical Demands:
This position requires extended periods of sitting while working with computers and viewing computer monitors and other office equipment. Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to approximately thirty-five pounds are required during tasks related to the job.
Travel:
Less than one week of total traveling per year; international and domestic.
