DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
In support of the MSA Information Management (IM) Network and Computing Services (N&CS) organization, this position will be responsible for supporting 2 primary systems and the related sub-systems. The primary systems are HLAN's enterprise web hosting environment, and the HLAN Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Environment. In addition, this position is responsible for supporting infrastructure to ensure enterprise level performance, availability and security of these systems. The successful candidate will be working with the application support team and the operations staff to effectively manage web infrastructure and content on a 24/7 schedule.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Tier-3 troubleshooting support, working with the user support team and the operations staff to effectively manage and communicate issues and perform problem analysis to resolution on a 24/7 schedule. As such, leads problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors and other support personnel and/or organizations.
Manage the day-to-day technical operations and product management, system performance monitoring, configuration, maintenance and repair.
Manage integration with other systems, capacity planning, system-wide operation control, task automation and providing recommendations on innovative and/or cost-effective options for delivering and/or improving enterprise web hosting services.
Apply revisions, upgrades, and patches.
Develop new system implementation plans, custom scripts and testing procedures to ensure operational reliability, high availability and system security of enterprise web services.
Establishes guidelines and methods for the installation and management of the host environment and client tools.
Develops procedures and documentation for backup and restoration of host operating systems and host-based applications and DR/COOP capabilities.
Develops tools, procedures, and training sessions for operations and other customer support organizations.
Stays current with technological developments and provide recommendations on how to take advantage of new advancements.
Identifies methods, solutions, and provides project leadership and management in order to provide a high level of service to customers.
Ensure system security across enterprise web application services, including contribution to security best practices.
BA/BS degree plus 5 years experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience in operations aspects of Web hosting and/or PKI operations support.
Familiarity with configuration and management of IIS versions 7.0 and above.
Knowledge and experience with PKI implementations.
Strong experience with Windows Server 2008/2012 virtual servers.
Ability to provide support during non-standard business hours and be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week as needed or as scheduled.
Attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Experience in leading subject matter experts or project teams.
Knowledge of industry best practices.
MSA would prefer an analyst that has prior experience in performing enterprise application configuration and operations duties, with skills that are relative to the Hanford configuration and future plans, including:
Microsoft or other appropriate technical certifications.
Knowledge and experience with Coldfusion products.
Knowledge and experience with MOVEit product.
Knowledge and understanding of Credentialed Management Systems.
Knowledge and experience with FTP and SFTP implementations.
Knowledge and experience with website metrics and analytics.
Knowledge and experience with Certificate Authority and PKI Infrastructure.
Experience with UNIX/Linux platforms.
Experience with Active Directory, ASP.NET, SharePoint, Java, or SQL.
Familiarity with the HLAN enterprise desktop and server environment.
