Job Title: Developer
Location: Richland, WA
Duration: 3 Months

Our client has a need for a Developer. This is a contract position; however it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies. Overview:
Our client is seeking a programmer/developer proficient in P6/oracle development.

Mandatory:
• At least 10 years’ experience in P6 web-client and P6 windows-client functionality
• At least 10 years’ experience in P6 backend development writing oracle stored procedures, developing and executing database queries
• At least 10 years’ experience developing P6 extract, transform and load (ETL) logic for P6 release 8.x through release 18.x
• At least 10 years’ experience developing P6 data integrity scripts and related queries
• At least 10 years P6 project controls/management (PCM) experience
• At least 10 years’ experience with earned value management processes and data relationships
• At least 10 years’ experience working with Electric Utilities
Preferred:
• Some experience working with Nuclear utilities
• Some experience working with the client developing P6 database queries
• At least 10 years’ experience delivering Oracle University training or equivalent knowledge transfer experience for P6 front-end and/or back-end processes
• SME for P6 scheduling with broad experience across many industries and particular experience in electric utility/nuclear industry
• 20+ years’ experience delivering P6 training for schedulers at all levels (train trainer, new user, advanced techniques, refresher training, etc.)
• Access to wide range of resources to address specific needs (P6 database configuration/support, P6 installation support, P6 web-services install/configuration support)
• Strong background in the use of P6 to support Earned Value metrics and processes
• Strong background in the use of P6 to support Project Risk Assessment (pros and cons)
• Proven resource at EN – reduces risk/exposure of using untested resources

Developer will perform the following duties:
•Interface with the customer to develop technical specification requirements documents, design diagrams, and other documentation to define deliverables and support the configuration control processes within EN.
•Follow SQA procedures and prepare documentation software classification and quality assurance documents.
•Project duration is estimated to be 1 to 4 months from the start date.

Quality Assurance Requirements
•Contractor will adhere to the following procedures while performing development activities:
•SWP-CSW-01, Software Quality Assurance Program Description and Implementation
•SWP-CSW-11, Software Quality Assurance and Configuration Controls of Non-SSC Software
•ISDI-CONFIG-01, Information Services Configuration Management Program
•ISDI-ITGOV-06, Development Coding Standards
1. Data Cleanup
a. Work with EN project personnel to develop a comprehensive data cleanup plan that minimizes rework.
b. Work with EN project personnel to develop data clean-up scripts, methods and/or processes to facilitate removal of archival and training projects and projects not germane to the target schema.
c. Work with EN project personnel to produce spreadsheets or other artifacts to help power users identify objects/elements that are in use/not in use so they can make decisions regarding what to delete and what to keep in each schema.
d. Develop data clean-up scripts, methods and/or processes to facilitate removal of project codes, activity codes and other unwanted elements from both the Plant and Non-plant schemas.
2. Data Migration
a. Develop queries to identified ‘changed’ objects/elements in the production schema.
b. Develop data migration scripts, methods and/or processes to facilitate merging latest ‘changed’ production data with ‘clean’ data in both the Plant and the Non-plant schemas.
c. Develop queries to capture before/after images when performing data refreshes for target schemas from ‘changed’ production data.
3. Data Integrity
a. Review existing data integrity scripts, developed in-house, for completeness.
b. Identify other areas where integrity scripts are needed/useful.
c. Develop the missing scripts.

Deliverables
Complete, tested, and implemented applications based on customer requests.
Deliverables
1. Data Cleanup scripts, utilities, and methods. Should be designed to be reusable, post-project to aid in database edits where online editing would be too onerous.
2. Data Migration queries/scripts. These tend to be context specific in the details but the core code framework should be fairly generic and in-line documented sufficiently (comments/flower boxes, etc) that they could be reused in subsequent P6 upgrade projects.
3. Data Integrity scripts - Should be designed to be reusable by EN dbas and P6 application support personnel to ensure there are no orphans and no redundant records in the database. The goal is to bundle these into a script that can be scheduled or run “on-demand”, as needed to ensure ongoing health of the database.
