Supports software applications and systems by investigating, designing, documenting and implementing new hardware and software. Works with customers and end users to understand requirements, coordinate resources, monitor timeline, and plan, track, and execute project plan. Analyzes user requirements and evaluates work processes. Prepares concepts for information system solutions and evaluates the cost-effectiveness of these concepts.

Has broad expertise or unique knowledge, uses skills to contribute to development of technical objectives and principles to achieve goals in creative and effective ways. Develops and/or implements advanced concepts, techniques, and standards based on professional principles and theories. Considered an expert in the field. Education

What You Will Do

The Software and Applications Engineering (SAE) Division supports Los Alamos National Laboratory’s (LANL) enterprise applications and performs software application development support, database development and administration, software quality management, and enterprise application consulting. The Enterprise Business Software Group (SAE-2) provides custom application development, commercial off-the-shelf application implementation, database administration, and adoption/integration with Software as a Service solution. SAE-2 supports business processes for financial, personnel, procurement, and human resources IT systems.

Working alongside some of the brightest minds, you will work with a team using agile development methodologies that support existing custom and COST applications. The selected candidates will work as an Oracle EBS Developer in the Enterprise Business Software group (SAE-2) supporting the development and maintenance of the Oracle EBS Supply Chain Management modules, specifically Inventory and Order Management modules.

A selected candidate will be responsible to:
• Automating manual processes and improving efficiencies for existing inventory management.
• Improving inventory and salvage operations by automating, integrating, and providing real-time accurate inventory data.
• Design, develop, and test integrations Oracle EBS Inventory Management integration and configuration with scanners.
• Deliver progress reports to project leaders, sponsors and help define project plans and milestones.
• Contribute to the designing, developing, modifying, testing, debugging, and evaluating of software to meet customer requirements.
• Develop SQL and PL/SQL to support custom-built and COTS applications
• Collaborate with customers and colleagues.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined by Software Configuration Management Plan.
• Provide software enhancement and support using the Oracle development tool suite
• Assess the impact of software upgrades and other environment-specific changes.
• Work independently and/or with the Scrum Team on Projects.
• Provide knowledge transfer to Technical staff.

What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:

• Extensive experience analyzing and defining business requirements and preparing technical designs
• Experience using a Software Version Control System
• Experience designing, developing, modifying, testing, debugging, and evaluating software to meet customer requirements
• Experience with software configuration management; software quality assurance methodologies
• Experience with Oracle EBS R12.2.x Supply Chain Management modules specifically Inventory Management, Order Management
• Experience with Oracle Mobile Supply Chain applications and deployment strategies
• Knowledge of data integration methods with Oracle Inventory Management (inbound/outbound) and integration with Mobile Devices
• Extensive experience with Oracle database development including strong PL/SQL skills
• Experience consuming and authoring RESTful and SOAP web services

• Knowledge of the DevSecOps culture and principles and experience CI/CD development
