Supports software applications and systems by investigating, designing, documenting and implementing new hardware and software. Works with customers and end users to understand requirements, coordinate resources, monitor timeline, and plan, track, and execute project plan. Analyzes user requirements and evaluates work processes. Prepares concepts for information system solutions and evaluates the cost-effectiveness of these concepts.
Has wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Frequently contributes to the development and/or implementation of new technical standards and methods. Considered an expert in the field. Develops resolutions to complex problems that require the frequent use of creativity and where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Work is accomplished without considerable direction and/or coordinates activities of other personnel. Exerts significant latitude in determining objectives of assignment, and determines the methods and procedures needed for new assignments.
This position will work in the Institutional Data Services to and will primarily support LANLís Oracle Data Store (ODS). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, data architecture and implementation, ETL using PL/SQL and the Control-M job automation tool, maintenance & operations of existing database objects. The team also supports Denodo (data virtualization) and Sailpoint IIQ (access governance), and the job will include some training and expected work in these areas. The jobís primary responsibilities are ODS related, and secondary responsibilities will be Denodo.
This position can be remote.
Requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum eight years experience.
This job will include off-hours on-call work.

Experience designing (architecture and implementation), managing, and configuring an Oracle SQL based data warehouse.
Background with Oracle database technology using SQL, PL/SQL. Functional / technical knowledge with Oracle ERP / Oracle Applications / Oracle EBS.
Experience providing solutions for customers.
Experience designing, developing, modifying, testing, debugging and evaluating software to meet user requirements.
Experience gathering and documenting user requirements.
Experience recommending sound, practical solutions to complex issues.
Experience with Agile concepts such as Scrum or Kanban.
Experience with Git.
Experience with DevSecOps automation (CI/CD)
Experience with Jira, Remedy, ServiceNow, or other work tracking system.
Experience writing complex SQL queries.
Familiarity with Confluence.
Experience with Control-M or other enterprise level job scheduling application.
