Position Title: Construction Automation Manager
The Construction Automation Manager performs a critical role in the support of the Advanced Work Packaging program. This role is positioned in the Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) function within the SRPPF Construction organization. This position is the lead of the Construction Automation team that plays a key role in interfacing with the functional IT/OT organizations supporting the development of requirements and deployment of automation tools. As the liaison between the construction and the functional IT/OT organization, the focus will be to ensure the developed requirements meet the expectations of the end user and maintain alignment on the progress and deployment of the tools. This position supports the development, management, and maintenance of the data-centric project environment necessary in accordance with the SRPPF Data Automation Information Management Plan, to use software tools and the automation to the greatest extent possible in support of AWP.
Safety is a primary responsibility for all employees working on and off SRS. Subcontractor shall obtain safety training, obey safety rules, and make safety an integral part of each task.
Performance Requirements:
The Information Management (IM) Manager is responsible to the Advanced Work Packaging Manager. As automation deployment progresses, the Construction Automation Manager and team will be responsible to provide support to the Construction organization on the automation tools, primarily those supporting the AWP and Workface Planning processes.
Duties:
Subcontractor duties include but is not limited to the following:
Provide database support and report generation to the Construction Team.
Engage stakeholders to develop and verify requirements for Automation Tools
Interface with functional IT/OT organizations responsible for supporting automation efforts, acting as the primary contact, to ensure deliverables align with schedule and functional expectations
Manage construction related deliverables and integrations from the functional IT/OT organizations
Support the development of software, network, security, and integration requirements to operate within project requirements while creating the most effective end user interface and experience
Develop a team to provide SME level support for AWP related applications (i.e., Intergraph Smart Construction, SDx, S3d, WQMS, Completions, and 2-D authoring tools)
Provide hands on support and training to the Construction and Workface Planning teams on tools supporting the Workface Planning.
Interface with Software SMEs in the functional IT/OT organizations to support troubleshooting, debugging, and training; provide training in ad hoc day to day work as users gain experience.
Create desktop guides or work instructions as necessary to support novice and intermediate users on targeted software and applications.
Support Information Management initiatives
Develop standard and custom reports and workflows.
Perform data analysis techniques
Support in Application configuration management, security controls, and maintenance
Provide database development and support to the Construction Team
Engineering services shall be provided using SRNS processes and procedures. Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRNS.
Subcontractor must successfully complete the duties assigned above, as demonstrated during the period of performance and verified by the service provider’s manager or designee on a weekly basis.
Subcontractor shall be responsible for the management and execution of assigned programs/projects in accordance with the requirements of SRNS, and the operating policies and principles. The Subcontractor is accountable for the execution of the work in accordance with the quality standards and required specifications for the project.
Experience / Skills:
Previous experience leading a team of 10 or more personnel
Demonstrated proficiency with Hexagon’s Intergraph Smart Suite Tools as a user or administrator is required (a combination of Smart Construction, Smart Completions, Smart Materials, Smart Foundations/ SDx, & WQMS, or equivalent combination that is Hexagon tool based)
Familiarity with Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) application and principles
Experience with implementation and deployment of automation, integration, and applications
Database development and management experience in Access, Oracle, SQL (i.e., data modeling, backup/recovery, queries, indexes, views, etc.)
Proficient with different data flow, data analysis and information management techniques
Proficient integrating/interfacing data between disparate systems and various data types (e.g., structured, unstructured, documents, etc.).
Experienced with implementation of new applications and supporting the development of application requirements, configuration management, test plans, testing, deployment, maintenance, and QA
Familiar with ASME NQA-1 and DOE
Candidates should be self-starters, highly motivated, requiring little supervision, and able to work well in a team environment while being schedule and deliverable oriented.
Work Schedule:
Work schedule will be a nominal 40-hour work week but can be part-time or with interruption between on-site requirements dependent on the support requirements necessary for the project.
Area Security Access:
An active DOE clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties. Subcontract personnel must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" security clearance. After award, the selected uncleared candidate may be required to apply for a DOE clearance.
