Edgewater is seeking qualified candidates for a System Analyst 4 opportunity for our customer in Los Alamos, NM to support the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL).
Work Location: 100% remote.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday (5-8s) or 9/80s

Summary:

Functional Job Title: Oracle Data Warehouse System Analyst
The Software and Applications Engineering (SAE) Division supports Los Alamos National Laboratory’s (LANL) enterprise applications and performs software application development support, database development and administration, software quality management, and enterprise application consulting. The Enterprise Business Software Group (SAE-2) provides custom application development, commercial off-the-shelf application implementation, database administration, and adoption/integration with Software as a Service solution. SAE-2 supports business processes for financial, personnel, procurement, and human resources IT systems.
System Analyst
Working alongside some of the brightest minds, you will work with a team using agile development methodologies that support existing custom and COST applications. The selected candidates will work as a Senior System Analyst on IDS (Institutional Data Services) team in the Enterprise Business Software group (SAE-2) supporting the development and maintenance operations.
A selected candidate will be responsible to:
Define and document business processes, business needs and requirements on various data and systems integrations.
Perform analysis of incoming data integration and data warehousing requests and determine which developer sub-teams should be involved.
Performing analysis to assess the quality and meaning of data.
Using statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets could be helpful for the diagnosis and prediction.
Assigning numerical value to essential business functions so that business performance can be assessed and compared over periods of time.
Deliver progress reports to project leaders, sponsors, and help define project plans and milestones.
Collaborate/communicate with customers and colleagues.
Provide knowledge transfer to technical staff.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Experience and knowledge of a data warehouse concept, as well as integration platforms.
Experience with collecting requirements from functional areas and formatting them for delivery to the development teams.
Experience with Oracle Data Warehouse, as well as Boomi and Denodo.
Experience utilizing SQL and understanding data structures of relational databases.
Existing knowledge and skillset around Data Architecture implementations
Strong and comprehensive understanding of system integrations.
Extensive experience managing projects that focus on Data Architecture implementations.
Using automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources.
Experience with performing ETL on data utilizing either Denodo or Boomi.
Preparing reports for the management stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data
Should have excellent communication skills to interact with business users and work on enhancement requests.
Desired Qualifications:
Extensive experience focused on enterprise data modeling, mapping, and system integration utilizing Boomi.
Experience with Denodo 8.x
Advanced knowledge of Agile methodologies and principles
Experience utilizing tools such as Jira and/or Confluence.
Experience with Oracle databases (version 12c or higher).
