Candidate will provide IT acquisition services and IT governance process support utilizing the site guidelines for these duties.
Responsibilities
Candidate will be responsible for compliance with departmental policies and processes and for performing all duties and activities in a safe and ethical manner.
IT Requisition Support
Enter IT commodity requisitions into SRNS Supply Chain Management application
Interface with IT personnel to coordinate new and existing software maintenance contracts
Interface with IT and Procurement personnel to process and track purchase requisitions for new and existing software maintenance contracts
IT Governance Support
Assist in supporting the SRNS IT Governance process
Review purchase requisitions for security risks
Track Governance initiatives through their lifecycle
Procedures
Utilize ITS Policies, Procedures, Standards and Guides such as software, configuration, governance, cyber security, purchasing, and project management policies
Customer Service
Must learn to think of the customer as the most important part of the job
Involves dealing with and/or responding positively to complaints, problems, and sometimes negative and emotional behavior from customers
Promote a professional customer support image
Work well with other Information Technology Groups
Interact with IT personnel during the Requisition process
Interact with Procurement and Financial personnel as needed during the Requisition process
Interact with the IT personnel and other site personnel as needed during the IT Governance process
Communication
Keep peers and supervision informed of trends, significant problems, unexpected delays and anything new in the environment
Keep customers informed of progress on processing requests
Clearly explain processes and technologies to customers. Listen to and understand customer questions and feedback
Qualifications
Must be a US Citizen
4-year degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related; or a nonrelated 4-year degree with 2 years proved performance in related assignment(s). Need formal and informal training in assigned technologies; guidance and direction will come from senior technical personnel in a variety of areas; and participate in on-going professional development training.
Demonstrate Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Filemaker Pro, Lotus Notes, and Windows Operating System.
Demonstrate ability to apply formal training.
