Project Scheduler IV.
Contract position- -/+ 6 months
Location: Jackson, MI
Candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
Expansion in budgets for investment in Gas Pipeline and Regulation facilities has resulted in a significant increase in the complexity and the number projects, as well as a commensurate increase in engineering and design staff. The scheduler will assist engineering and design leads by producing a robust, integrating schedule and producing reports and/or presentation materials for management, project leads and other stakeholders.
Planning and Engineering for 2018 projects is currently underway, and a scheduler is needed ASAP.
The Project Scheduler will utilize Primavera P6 to develop and maintain a resource loaded schedule integrating development, engineering and execution of between 60 and 90 Gas Metering and Regulation Projects. The Project Scheduler will also analyze past and present data to generate reports and presentations and to create more effective schedules.
Must have 5+ years of experience in any of the following industries: architecture/engineering, energy/utility, or general contracting/construction;
Natural Gas Pipeline/Regulation project experience preferred;
Primavera (Oracle) P6 experience;
Presentation skills required in meetings and in training;
Ability to read blueprints and technical documents preferred.
Project Schedulers typically need at least an associate's degree or equivalent training/experience in project or construction estimating, scheduling, or management or a relevant field; a bachelor's degree may be preferred. Experience in architectural, engineering and construction scheduling is beneficial, and knowledge of management resource planning (MRP) is expected.
