The Pipe Welder is responsible for the planning, lay-out, weld, install, maintenance, test and repair of all types of pipe and similar tubular products in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes and industry standards. Types of system utilized are steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, lay-out , assembly, install and/or repair all types of pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic equipment in accordance with the jobs specifications and plans.
Use appropriate hand and power tools to properly measure, cut, assemble, weld and install all types of pipe and/or supports, valves and other control equipment.
Test installed piping systems and install all other related items in accordance with the applicable plans and specifications.
Weld components according to specific process and code.
Follow established jobsite safety and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work area.
Read and understand plans and specifications, including isometric and orthographic drawings. Visualize two dimensional drawings in three dimensions.
Perform all other job related duties as requested by supervisor.
