TalentLogistix is seeking Carpenters to perform commercial and industrial construction and remodeling, interior systems, interior and exterior finish, blueprint reading, transit operations, scaffolding, and safety. We have jobs available across Indiana; Indianapolis, Crawfordsville, Lafayette and Muncie.
Pay rate ranges from $14/hr. to $25/hr. and you will be paid according to your experience and knowledge. We do have some per diem jobs available as well.
• Layout including building lines, elevations, wall and partition layout
• Formwork for walls, floors, columns, precast erection, etc.
• Framing floors, walls, roofs, stairs, structural studs, etc.
• Finish work including panels, finishes, interior and exterior trim, installation of cabinetry, casework, doors, hardware, etc.
• Ceiling system installation
• Drywall operation including framing and rocking of walls, soffits, columns, chase walls, etc.
• Safety including scaffold systems, walkways, shoring, weather protection and installation of fall protection systems
The conditions encountered on the job include working outside in all types of weather. Conditions are frequently noisy, dirty and dusty. Vibration from equipment and tools is common. Working around other trades and the equipment they utilize is required. Conditions may include interior work sometimes including close quarters and working in owner occupied areas.
Carpenters require a broad range of physical abilities. The job demands standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, kneeling, squatting, bending, and reaching. The work is physical in nature with heavy lifting required to the performance of the duties of the carpenter, weights of fifty pounds or greater are common. Requires manual dexterity, repetitive motions, hand/eye coordination, strength and endurance. May require work at heights, frequently exceeding twenty feet, including ladders and scaffolds. Requires adequate vision (corrected) and hearing to not pose any hazard to self or others. Requires alertness to potential hazards common to a construction site.
High school diploma/GED, verifiable work history, able to work OT or shift work, reliable transportation
