Currently PLS is accepting applications for Journeymen Mechanical Millwrights for projects in Indiana, Illinois and Iowa. Job Description:
PLS is looking for skilled Journeymen Millwrights who have experience with Industrial Steel Construction, Conveyor Installation and Equipment Maintenance. All Journeymen Millwrights will be working on various construction sites, both locally and regionally, travel is involved with all related positions. If you have experience installing conveyors in the Material Handling Industry, performing plant maintenance or working on construction related machinery, we’d love to hear from you.

The following list is an example of some of the tasks a Journeyman Millwright will be performing, but not an all-inclusive list of the job duties.

Erecting Structural Steel for conveyors and buildings
Install conveyors in Commercial and Industrial atmospheres
Installing Steel covering for conveyors and buildings
Install Pumps, Valves and Motors
Align Pumps and Motors
Troubleshoot equipment and devices
Lubricate and adjust equipment and conveyors
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and detailed repair drawings related to conveyors, construction equipment and machinery
Dismantle equipment and conveyors when required for repair or transportation and reassemble it at the appropriate time
Move equipment to appropriate site for repair or maintenance to avoid contamination or workplace safety hazards
Create solid foundations for machines on-site and instruct other construction workers about safe and efficient interaction with machinery and equipment
Align and calibrate machinery and equipment parts as required for efficient and safe operation

Job Requirements:
Have a VALID Driver License
Be able to work at heights greater than 20’ from a scissor or boom lift
Be able to stand for long periods of time
Be able to kneel, bend and stoop
Be able to lift 80lbs
Have past experience setting and aligning motors
Have past experience installing and aligning conveyors used for material handling
Have past experience installing structure steel used for the erection of structures
Able to read blue prints, line diagrams and ISO drawings
Possess all necessary hand tools for personal use (Cordless Drill and Cordless Impact Drill a MUST)
Have (or willing to get) OSHA 10 or 30
Experience operating forklifts and man-lifts
Must be willing to travel
PLS only hires people that are Drug Free, multiple drug screens can be included in the hiring process.

Wage: $25 per hour.
Per Diem: Offered per project. Varies from $75 to $100 per day due to location
Health, Dental, Vision Insurance after 60 days
401K Retirement Options
PTO – Paid Vacation Starts accruing upon hire
