9-12 month contract. Possible Permanent position.

Capable of handling the technical aspects (by discipline) of small- to medium-sized projects while keeping overall project goals in mind. Has strong technical knowledge and problem solving capabilities. Possesses good understanding of common operational practices and industry standards. Reviews work of others for accuracy.

Prepares data sheets, drawings, specifications, and other technical documents for the project. Develops risk matrix with weighted scoring and costs of the developed alternatives for basis of design documents.

Possesses good understanding of applicable engineering standards, NEC codes, and NFPA standards for life safety systems. Develop material takeoffs, and perform design checking, specification writing, field engineering and CAD.

Produce cable schedules and cable schedule drawings. Perform drawing and document checking and quality assurance tasks for lighting and power systems, engineered equipment and work package documents.

Experience preparing electrical studies that provide recommendations and presenting cost to benefit ratio in recommendation of design concepts. Provide technical recommendation to any new or existing systems and perform Electrical Preventive Maintenance in the mission critical buildings without interrupting power. Experience applying electrical engineering concepts to perform basis of design and design alternative and system optimization documents, including developing parametric costs and reviewing detailed cost estimates by others.

Experience assessing capacity, condition and ratings of existing electrical and control components and providing recommendations of which components of existing systems to be modified or replaced.
