PROJECT PRINCIPAL ENGINEER
Our client is seeking qualified individuals to support the design/build efforts for the Mobile Launcher 2 (ML2) efforts for NASA at Kennedy Space Center, FL. This is a contingent position as GP anticipates a contract award from NASA to the GP Team.
It is anticipated that the position will be full time, at Kennedy Space Center/Titusville or local vicinity and GPs role will include the design of mechanical process systems and 60 Hz electric power and subsequent fabrication of mechanical process systems. The major tasks required for this position include:
Report on scope and schedule.
Manage the integration of the design/build team into the larger project team, through TIMS, PDRs, CDRs, Testing, Integration and Performance Tests
Keep leadership team informed on progress, project status, schedule and cost.
Candidates must be able to:
Show strong project/program management skills
Have strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the NASA design, Development , Test, Component Qualification, Integration Verification and Validation
The ability to provide recommendations for process or product efficiencies and schedule reduction will be considered.
Demonstrate an understanding of the components on the Mobile Launcher and their integration
Demonstrate an understanding of the project pit falls and ways to manage change
Demonstrate an understanding of equipment selection, fabrication and installation for mechanical process equipment and 60Hz electrical power equipment.
Degreed engineer (required) in Mechanical, Aerospace or Electrical
10 to 15 years experience
PMP certification (preferred)
Advanced business degree (option)
Registration as a Professional Engineer (preferred)
