Flatiron is a company that values the safety of its workforce above all else. As a Carpenter, you must will be responsible for the following duties:
Constructs, erects, installs, and repairs structures and forms conforming to federal, state, and local codes.
Studies plans, sketches, and specifications for information pertaining to type of material required and dimensions of structure to be fabricated.
Shapes materials to prescribed measurements.
Assembles cut and shaped materials and fastens them together as needed.
Erects framework for structures.
Constructs forms and chutes for pouring concrete.
Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
Perform various construction laborer duties
Other duties as assigned
Must have a minimum of 3 years of carpenter experience.
Requires continuous lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling material/equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
Must be comfortable working outdoors exposed to weather conditions, frequently exposed to work near moving machinery, and in high precarious places.
May be required to work nights.
