G-Code CNC Programmer (Night Shift)

***Must be able to do G-Code CNC programming at the machine***

Positions are for Tech I and Tech II programmers on night shift

The Machinist TECH I must be proficient with all types of measuring tools and blueprint reading. This person is able to do the more complex tasks and has a high level of knowledge with complex machines. This person trains and mentors others at all levels. This person needs very little supervision and is proactive with quality and safety, and resolves problems with sound judgement and good decisions. This role must lead projects and people as directed by their supervisor. This person works well with other departments in the shop. This individual must demonstrate a strong commitment to L&H values and safety processes.


Plan and conduct all work activities with safety as their priority
Observe and be knowledgeable of all safety regulations and
procedures
Maintain a clean and orderly working environment
Centering
Turning and re-shafting
Centering internal and external threads
Boring and milling snap ring grooves
Grooving for seals
Drilling and tapping
Has a high level of knowledge of all machines (mills and
lathes)
Be able or willing to learn CNC operations
Read and follow blueprints and drawings
Learn standard tolerances for hydraulic applications
Set up machine spindles, wheels, hubs, circles, boards and any
other major components common to the shop
Maintain machinery in good working order
Measure parts using basic measuring tools
O.D. mics, I.D. mics, dial calipers
Maintain accuracy, timeliness and accountability for quality
and quantity
Is willing to learn any task necessary (complex or basic)
Utilize strong leadership qualities and lead by example
Keep company needs and customer needs as a top priority and
willing to adapt to changing demands (is flexible with
schedule)

Formal Requirements and Certifications of Job
Required
18 years or older
Safety Oriented
Proficient in machining processes, measuring tools and
blueprint reading
Leadership skills
Ability to work independently
Good communication skills
Willingness to learn
Team player Preferred
10 years of experience in an industrial shop environment
Continuing education with leadership skills
OSHA safety training
