The Fabrication Technician should be able to function in all phases of plastic fabrication independent of his immediate supervisor. They should have a good understanding of all plastic fabrication techniques, liner installation and shop equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain a high/safe production level with the highest possible degree of quality while keeping rework to a minimum, assist in the training of Fabrication Technician Trainees and maintain a safe work environment.
Demonstrate Performance of Skilled Job Requirements - Fill gas cans and water cooler, care of equipment, keep work area clean, replace tools and drive work vehicles. Must have willingness to learn and improve and also show ingenuity as applied to job.
Demonstrate Ability in the Following Job Skills: 1) Rework kept to a minimum 5) Time card documentation 2) Grinding 6) Fabrication 3) Able to work with shop tolerances 7) Hot air welding 4) Extrusion Welding 8) Plastic Pipe fusion and fabrication
A good attitude and dedication to quality is an important factor for the Fabrication Technician's advancement within the company.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE: Good hand-eye coordination; able to read/write; operate power tools and equipment specifically related to the plastic industry; do fabrication from blueprints; have a valid driver's license and satisfactorily complete the Fabrication Technical Trainee program. PHYSICAL: Must be able to dead lift at least 75 lbs waste high, bend from the waist and remain in this position for extended periods. Must be able to work on your knees over extended periods throughout a 10-hour day.

Salary: $15.00 /hour
Per Diem: $30 per day
