Perini Management Services, Inc. (PMSI), a federal government prime contractor, seeks a Project Controller.
Perform project accounting tasks for construction projects in the field of accounts payable, payroll, or general accounting.
TYPICAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Make practical applications found in accounting standards and procedures for routine transactions.
Assume responsibility for the day-to-day operation of one or more accounting applications, such as accounts payable, general accounting, or of a subordinate section.
Prepare, process and place in line for payment vendor & subcontractor invoices; prepare client invoices, prepare back charges, bank reconciliation and petty cash reconciliation.
Resolve discrepancies on invoices or reports by interfacing with other departments, project controllers, construction and vendors and subcontractors operations.
Make recommendations to supervisor for cost effective methods of accomplishing specific functions.
Prepare special reports and complete other accounting projects per supervisors direction.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
4 year business/accounting degree
One to four years construction accounting experience
Knowledge of general construction accounting, auditing, payroll and invoicing
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent knowledge of Word and Excel
Willing to travel overseas or relocate
