Title: Construction Supervisor - Energy Conservation Measure (ECM) program
Start Date: 8/2020 One year assignment
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Working in a self-managed team, the Construction Supervisor will be a part of the ECM team. This role is responsible to lead the construction process, related to energy conservation projects. Responsible to manage all related construction processes including EHS compliance, site supervision, and ensure construction is aligned with approved drawings and specifications. Coordinate with the Energy Services Contractors (ESCOs) and clients ECM team throughout.
The successful candidate is responsible for the safe, on-time, and on budget execution of construction of multiple energy efficiency projects.
5+ years of experience in related field
Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, controls and electrical) is an asset;
Certified Construction Manager (CCM) license is an asset
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written);
Hard work ethic, self-starter, can-do attitude;
Knowledge of modern management tools in continuous improvement is an asset.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
Ensure Client health, safety, security, and environmental policies and procedures are practiced during construction.
Oversees the construction of the energy efficiency projects, ensuring that execution conforms to project permits, specifications, drawings, and contracts
Ensure ESCOs adherence to relevant Owner and Contractor quality assurance and control (QA/QC) procedures and processes
Review RFIs and change requests with assistance from the Program Manager
Work with the ESCOs Construction Manager and Clients Program Manager to coordinate activities which impact the Universitys normal day-to-day operations
Coordination of work between the ESCO and the Client operation employees for interfaces in scope of work
Opine on constructability through the review of Contractor plans during detailed engineering phase, ensuring efficient construction and the safe wellbeing of workers, persons, and property
Assure compliance with federal, state, local, University, and Client EHS standards and develop corrective action plans, as necessary.
Lead the punch-list process between mechanical and contract completion
Manage Clients requirements for site access and security for Contractor, including but not limited to key card access
Review and verify work completion status and milestones achievement in support of invoice approval process
Coordinate outage request with Client
Coordinate with the necessary Client and stakeholders to facilitate project execution (e.g. Communications, Department of Public Safety, Transportation & Traffic Management, Emergency Management, etc.)

Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to use personal computer, calculator, etc.
Could involve some lifting.
Bachelor of Science in Construction Management or in related field, or bachelors degree with practical experience and knowledge of relevant systems;
