The Premier Group is currently in search of a talented and motivated Estimator with at least 3-5 yearsí experience in electrical industrial project estimating. Your role will be to work with our team of construction professionals and provide accurate and efficient cost estimates for projects in and around the Fort Collins CO area.

This position reports to: Regional Director
The estimating department is responsible for producing project-specific construction estimates based on written and/or oral instructions from our clients. Your role in this process will be as follows:
The primary responsibility to develop accurate and timely electrical construction estimates on which we base competitive bids and proposals for our client-base customers.
Analyze and interpret detailed drawings and specifications.
Determine and price value-engineered alternatives to plans and specifications.
Perform budget pricing from schematic drawings and narrative.
Draft scope letters, proposals and vendor solicitations.
Attend job walks; pre-bid meetings; collaborations and conferences with clients and design professionals.
Support the Regional Director with the functioning of the Estimating Department; the education and development of junior personnel; on-going development and maintenance of computerized estimating programs and databases; congenial relations with clients and vendors.
Work under deadline pressures in an efficient, composed, and calm manner.
Additional Essential Functions:
Work alongside other estimators, project managers and project engineers on change-orders and cost-to-complete estimates of on-going projects
Help create and communicate company standards for estimating electrical design/build and plans and specs work.
Additional duties as assigned by management
A high school diploma or GED is required, but a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar studies is preferred.
Knowledge and proficiency with Code requirements and basic electrical engineering calculations; Voltage-drop, Ohmís law, conduit-fill, wire ampacity, de-rating, etc.
Extensive experience with the following software: Microsoft Project (scheduling software), Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Internet Explorer, AutoCAD, and one of the major computerized estimating programs (e.g., BHS, Accubid, etc

Team player, self-motivated, gets along well with supervisors, peers and subordinates.
Excellent verbal and written communication
Able to track and organize project and information
Able to calculate figures and amounts
Possesses sound judgment skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize work
Willing to consider commercial electrical experience with the right candidate
Do you have 3-5 years of experience estimating in the industrial electrical field?
Can you pass a federal background check and a full 10-panel drug screen including marijuana?
Do you have experience with Accubid?

Pay: Dependent upon experience
Schedule: Monday to Friday
This position will be based out of our Fort Collins, CO and may require some occasional travel to job sites, per business needs and requirements
