Carpenters will be handling window/door installation, trim work, installing cabinets and baseboards. At times, carpenters could be handling framing, gathering materials including wood, tools, etc. Carpenters would be required to operate nail guns and use basic hand tools and measuring tools as well.
Crew Size/Job Environment:
They will work in teams of 2 or 3 depending on the job but will always be with a lead. Dress code is casual, shorts and tennis shoes/work boots and company-provided shirts. The culture is VERY fast paced, carpenters need to be able to keep up with everyone, they do work fast since it's all pre-fab materials.
Typical day is they drive to the shop and arrive at 7:00am (may vary depending on job site requirements) with tools and tool belt. Jump in the company vehicle with lead and drive out to job site. Spend the day at max 2 projects doing light demo, installation of cabinetry, countertops, and performing basic remodel work on the rest of the unit. OR they have the option to meet directly on site.
Shift and Pay:
Typically a 8-9 hour day, some OT available
$18-$26 (depending on skills, experience, tenure, etc.)
