Our client is looking for a Lead Hand plumber to join their team on a long term basis.
This person will be hired on to work on commercial towers doing installation of heating systems. They will work in a heating and installation crew of 4-10 to complete the project. This person will also be required to work on their own at times. They will read blueprints and do the layout for the heating system. They will be needed to be experienced with hydronic, mechanical rooms fan coils, heat pumps and layouts/drawings. There will be a Foreman or Superintendent on site every day to give instruction for the day and then they will be left to complete their tasks with the crew. They will need to be able to communicate with the superintendent when materials need to be ordered. Projects are located in Vancouver and Burnaby. Specific project this person will be placed on will depend on experience. They will be running crews from 5-22 people. Highly organized and good with troubleshooting. The person on the ground. Has to be exp. Working on high-rise Big commercial jobs big diameter pipes.
This person will be leading a crew of 10-25 people and be the right-hand person to the site supervisor. Dependability is important. Needs to understand the job flow of the job.
- Red Seal Plumber
- 5+ years' Experience installing commercial and high rise water, gas and heating systems (Fan coil installation, boiler/mechanical rooms and hydronics)
- Ability to read blueprints/drawings, Lay out
- High-rise experience
-Ability to manage a crew of up to 20 crew members
- Experience training apprentices - Leadership experience
