The WFG Industrial is are currently seeking candidates for Bolt up Tank Ironworker in the Kansas area.
Title: Bolt up Tank ironworker
Help set up hoisting equipment for raising and placing structural steel members.
Load, transport, unload, and furnish experienced craft workers with materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
Clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary.
Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and work pieces during installation.
Perform minor maintenance or cleaning activities of tools and equipment.
Fasten steel members to cable of hoist, using chain, cable, or rope.
Guide members, using tag line (rope).
Perform other duties as directed by experienced craft person.
Repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure.
Detect, recognize and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
Regular attendance is required.
Performs other duties as required.
Will need to carry tool belt with necessary tools such as spud wrenches, steeve bars, bull pins, 4-8 Lb hammer and connecting bolts.
May require working in extreme hot or cold weather conditions. Requires working standing on feet most of the workday and climbing ladders, stooping, bending, or squatting. May require working in cramped or uncomfortable positions. Requires working at various heights over 100 feet in the air. May be required to wear respiratory equipment when required. Strength rating -Heavy. May require using equipment such as brooms, shovels, wheelbarrows, and jack hammers. Will require lifting and carrying over 50 Lbs.
