PLEASE NOTE: Onboarding will be gradual. Person will be given general labor duties to start to get affiliated with the site. Then our Client will gradually work them into their system and test their abilities to ensure that they have the skills necessary for the job. The whole process takes about 3 months.
Day to Day Job duties will include:
- Building forms by hand
- Working with Parry systems for walls and suspended slabs
- Cutting using skill saws and table saws
- Use drills
- Reading blue prints
- Using tape measures, squares, levels, etc
- Working at heights
bridge, construction, formwork, high rise, forming, road construction, concrete, red seal, parry system.
Our Client is a very large company (upwards of 600000 people). These people will be responsible for working on the overpass construction project north of the Second Narrows Bridge on highway 1. They are in Phase 2 of a 4 phase project and have enough work for 2 years guaranteed with a potential for longer. On this project they are working with 15 - 120 people, depending on the day (a lot of subs). Once this project is over, there would be work in more infrastructure, underground services, or architectural projects.
Standard hours are 6:30 Am - 3:00 Pm but there is plenty of opportunity for OT. With project deadlines, there are weeks where the work 10 - 12 hour days.
3-5 years+ formwork experience
Ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively
Ability to pass D&A and physical
Will entertain 3rd and 4th year apprentices.
