Job Summary: The Industrial Maintenance Electrician is responsible for addressing a variety of challenges and performing associated maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment within an industrial food manufacturing facility. The position is more than electrical work as this technician will self-perform or assist other technicians with advanced repairs throughout the campus. The role works under minimal supervision and some contact with external suppliers and customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow all safety procedures, compliance, and protocols. Ensure that pre-task planning is complete for each and every task.
Must be flexible, able, and willing to assist in maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment including but not limited to: Electrical systems up to 480 volts AC, lighting, controls, pumps, piping, plumbing, doors, dock equipment, air handlers, steam systems, walls, flooring, and much more.
Install, maintain, and repair electrical pumps, electrical motors, electrical heaters, and assist with air handling equipment, piping systems, water systems, and steam systems.
Performs electrical maintenance and troubleshooting throughout the campus. Potentially performs or assist with welding, fabrication, repairs, and modifies a variety of industrial equipment.
Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair complex electrical and mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals and parts catalogs as necessary.
Support others to maintain facility related equipment making adjustments as necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
Five (5) or more years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance work is required
Must possess applicable certifications, licenses and a valid driver's license.
OSHA 10 hour and/or 30 Hour card. BOMA, IFMA, LEED Certifications a plus.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions including, but not limited to: electrical diagrams, operating and maintenance instructions, safety policies, and procedure manuals. Ability to write basic reports and customer request documents such as work orders.
