Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Irrigation/Landscape Technician to perform maintenance operations in the Grand Prairie, TX area. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to irrigation equipment maintenance, landscape maintenance, pest control, and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

New hires for our Maintenance Technicians on the Texas Regional Travel Crew are eligible for a $500 hiring bonus. *
- Minimum 1 year of related experience
- Knowledge with Central Irrigation Control Systems
- Must hold a TCEQ irrigation License
- Category 3A - Ornamental Plant and Turf Pest Control
- Category 5 - Right of - Way Pest Control
- International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist (ISA)
- Turf Agronomist with a Professional Turfgrass Manager Certification from the Texas Turfgrass Association
- orticultural Science (ASHA) Certified Horticulturist
- Roadway maintenance experience
- MOT Certifications
- Experience with backhoes, augers, etc.
Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check
- High School Diploma/GED
- Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
- Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
- Carry out simple arithmetic functions
- Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
- Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
- Ability to use smart phone and applications
- Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
- Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; strenuous manual labor may be required
- Ability to operate hand/power tools
Full time; Mon-Fri: 7am to 3:30pm and on call as needed. Must be able to work snow/ ice and other emergency events as needed (generally 12 hour shifts).
