MMR Power Solutions is accepting resumes for a Power Plant Operator near Sacramento, California.
MMR has served as the industry leader in instrumentation and electrical construction, maintenance and technical services for more than 30 years and is the largest privately-owned open shop electrical and instrumentation contractor in the United States.
This position reports to the Operations Manager.
Primarily responsible for the operation and maintenance of on-site power plants sites, to include performance or coordination of:
o Routine Operations
o Alarm Response
o Cleaning and Preservation
o Preventative Maintenance
o Routine and Compliance Inspections
o Customer Relations
o Site Security
On site power plants rely on any combination of renewable and dispatchable generation assets as well as energy storage and are capable of operating both on and off grid. Many sites also include heat recovery and other thermal related equipment such as boilers or chillers. Some knowledge of operations and maintenance on parasitic equipment (pumps, fans, HVAC, etc.) and distribution equipment (switchgear, transformers, protection relays, etc.) is also required.
Experience with any of the following is considered a plus:
o PLCs, automation & controls
o Low and medium voltage electrical
o Motors, fans and pumps
o Computers and networking
o Plumbing, pumps, heat exchangers & valves
o Low pressure mechanical systems (hydraulic, hydronic, and pneumatic)
o Low pressure (<200psi) boilers and steam systems
o ANSI protection relays
o Personnel safety
