Hiring for a Commercial Concrete Foreman. Looking to bring on a General Foreman who is proficient with Structural Concrete Projects.

The ideal candidates requires:

10+years of experience of field experience with Commercial Concrete Projects

Multiple years of experience running mid-sized to large jobs; Structural and Flatwork Concrete Experience Needed

Extensive experience running large crews, must be able to oversee 10-30+ skilled laborers

Ability to read and interpret blueprints

Competent level of experience with smart phone, tablet, computers, emails, & Microsoft Office/Adobe (.pdf) documents.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Completes a Jobsite Hazard Analysis, identifying all hazards & creating plans to mitigate such hazards.

Organizes, handles, & documents a tailgate meeting on a weekly basis, or more frequently, &/or prior to starting any activity, ensuring all employees and subcontractors are familiar with the tasks for the day.

Completes Day Sheets & necessary paperwork daily, & submits all paperwork, including receivers/receipts, to the office by Monday of each week

Include name & job #, as applicable, on all necessary paperwork.

Handles material take offs and places accurate & specific orders with purchasing, dispatch, &/or vendors.

Communicates with the Project Manager to develop a schedule and cost-effective plan for completion of an assigned project.

Coordinates and schedules the work activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers, communicating project assignments as appropriate.

Communicates any changes to work scope or methods with Project Manager to ensure client is aware and will approve.

Regularly inspects work for quality and timeliness; prepares and provides progress reports to Project Manager; makes recommendations for necessary modifications.

Plan ahead & collaborate with Project Manager, Dispatcher, Yard, and Customer to ensure specifications, zoning requirements, and other regulations are met.

Communicate all returned items/materials to the Yard, followed up with an email and picture of the items/materials & their placement.

Ensures specifications and regulations outlined in architectural and engineering plans are followed.

Maintains records related to costs and inventory.

Addresses any safety violations or other deficiencies.

Education and Experience:

At least five years of experience in building trade required.

At least five years of experience with supervision required.

Bachelors degree in Construction Science, Business Administration is preferred but not required
