The Electrical QC Engineer is responsible for the planning and execution of inspections and verifications as directed by the Project Field Quality Control Engineer Manager. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Supports construction electrical activities relating to construction supervision, field engineering and subcontracts.
Interprets design drawings and specifications.
Oversees field verification of materials and installations.
Implements procedures for onsite inspection activities.
Monitors subcontractors and suppliers installation of material and equipment for quality control compliance.
Performs inspection functions in accordance with the inspection plan, monitors inspection duties assigned to subcontractors and reviews results of inspections.
Inspects and documents acceptance of construction activities and installations.
Identifies nonconforming items; initiates nonconformance reports and Condition Reports and monitors status through to closure.
Maintains databases through established project standard computer applications.
Possess right to work in the US without sponsorship.
Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Must be physically capable to conduct field inspections and participate in project walkdowns which require the following activities: extensive walking in and around a construction site, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, walking on elevated platforms, walking on uneven surfaces, climbing in very small and/or confined spaces, and lifting up to 60 lbs.
Must be able to pass nuclear security screening requirements and be able to obtain and maintain unescorted access to a nuclear power facility.
