[QA/QC Manager] Quality Manager - San Antonio, TX

The Project Quality Manager (PQM) is the quality leader at a TEiC project. The PQM reports directly to the TEiC corporate Manager of Quality. The PQM is directly responsible for all quality related activities and is responsible for ensuring that all project activities meet TEiC Quality Control Manual, Customer, Code, and Legal requirements.


Essential Functions

In general the day to day functions of the Project Quality Manager include but are not limited to the following:

•Develops and implements project quality plan; assigns direct reports assignments to facilitate execution of project quality plan; manages overall activities and ensures accurate execution.

•Partners with site Project Manager to certify all project activities receive adequate quality control monitoring.

•Interfaces with customers and plant representatives to ensure project quality plan is being accurately followed.

•Manages all project quality documentation and code packages.

•Coordinates all NDE activities and heat treating activities with subcontractors and site personnel.

•Resolve all project nonconforming conditions through various methods incorporating project team members, customer representatives, and corporate personnel.

•Ensure that all inspection and documentation activities are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with the project requirements


Position Qualifications


•Effective oral and written communication

•Knowledge of ASME Section I, II, VIII, & IX, B31.1 and the NBIC Part 3

•At least eight years experience in ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code construction and/or National Board Inspection Code repair work.


Skills and Abilities

Education: Minimal training, less than high school diploma acceptable

Experience: 5 years QC-CWI experience

Computer Skills: Word, Excel, and prefer experience with Lotus Notes

Certificates & Licenses: Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification from American Welding Society (AWS)
