Our Client, a Nationally leading Construction / Engineering Firm, is looking for a Substation Field Technician to join their team and manage project closeout requirements.
Location: Reading PA
Duration: 7 Months (possible to extend)
Pay: $30 - 44/hr (Based on Experience)
Per Diem: $140 a day
Work Schedule: 7AM - 4PM, M - F, OT as needed

Our Construction global practice has an immediate need for a Field Technician to support a program consisting of a combination of small to moderate size transmission, substation, and communication projects.
The Field Technician will report directly to the Closeout Team Lead and is responsible for supporting project closeout requirements within a specified time frame, establishing and maintaining a professional and satisfactory relationship with the Owner, subcontractors associated with any project.
Major responsibilities for the Field Technician will include:
Coordinate with project teams for site visits to perform scanning of redline drawings for substation, transmission and network and security projects
Perform Quality Assurance Review of field documentation, test reports, document management and turnover packages
Coordinate with the field teams to resolve construction non-compliant documentation
Track status of documentation and drawings Perform site inspections for Project Managers include investigating Requests for Information (RFIs)
Minimum of two (2) years of high voltage transmission line or substation project experience is preferred.
Must have knowledge in substations, networks/telecommunications, or transmission lines.
Excellent written & verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong document control skills.
Proficient with computers and strong background in Microsoft Excel and other database platforms.
Knowledge of NERC / FERC requirements is a bonus but not required.
Valid driver's license required. In addition, must meet standards to qualify for and maintain the Company's vehicle driving privileges as outlined in the Company's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy.
