CVG staffing solutions is currently seeking High Voltage Technicians

Position Description: Summary Provide technical skill in assembly, installation, and testing of high voltage materials (Transformers, breakers, feedback devices, controls, protection systems, control cables, vacuum dehydration units, substations).

Essential Functions:

· Assemble High Voltage Transformers

· Assemble HV Switchyards

· Ability to test HV equipment such as HV Breakers, Transformers, Feedback Devices, Control & Protection Systems

· Use Common Hand Tools

· Mechanical erection of High Voltage Substations

· Pulling & Terminating Control Cable

· Operation of Vacuum Dehydration Units

· Compile test reports

· Equipment use (forklift, power tools)

· Technical competence (understand software, hardware, networks, etc).

· Understanding of basic electronic principles

· Knowledge and skill of basic hand tools

·Additional duties requested by Supervisor.

Job Details:

· Must have High School diploma

· Must have legal authority to permanently work in the U.S.

· Travel up to 70%

· Eligible for International Travel

· 7 – 10 Years of High Voltage experience

· Manage assembly and testing crews

· Monitor project costs to insure proper cost control

· Physical requirements:

May require working in extreme hot or cold weather conditions. Requires working standing on feet most of the workday and climbing ladders, stooping, bending, or squatting. May require working in cramped or uncomfortable positions. May be required to wear respiratory equipment when required. Must be willing to fly and work at heights in excess of 100 feet.
