Mechanical Conveyor Installation Supervisor
We are looking for a traveling Mechanical Conveyor Installation Supervisor with 8+ years experience in mechanical conveyor installation to be part of our team who can run larger projects with no direction. Must have experience installing conveyor with at least one of these customers- UPS, FedEx, or Amazon. We are looking for a full-time position for an employee who is hard working, trustworthy, and who is devoted and dedicated to complete the project safely, with high quality, and meet the demands of the schedule. Weld-up and bolt-up conveyor installation experience is required along with the ability to read blue prints. Must have experience with installing weld-up conveyor and bolt-up conveyor, be able to manage up to 25 mechanical installers while working, and have the knowledge and experience to answer questions in order to install as efficiently as possible. Must have a good safety track record and know OSHA's general industry safety regulations. 7 days a week per diem is included. Mileage and drive time will not be paid to the first project, however it will be included project to project thereafter. Responsibilities are listed below and pay will reflect capabilities.
Mechanical Supervisor Hard Skills and Qualifications:
This position requires computer skillls (Word, Excel, Outlook, AutoCad, etc.) to communicate with customer and submit project satus reports.
Ability to recognize out of scope work and assist in determining hours required to perform the work.
Demonstrate ability to coordinate and allocate assignments to employees following the company's directions and mechanical procedures, which include managing your time and your teams time by time management. Must have experience managing more than 15 workers on a project.
Track record of efficiently and effectively monitoring hours, equipment, consumables, and materials intending to minimizing waste and damage and maximize profits by spending wisely.
Committed to providing leadership and direction to employees to ensure that they present productive results while also ensuring morale is maintained.
Proficient in leading employees in all mechanical aspects of the project, along with the ability to optimize resources and ensure timely completion.
Focused on ensuring that all mechanical installations are made following manufacturers' specifications and precise contractual requirements per the drawings and all company standards are met.
Hands-on experience in supervising and leading employees in completing installations to ensure optimum productivity. This is a working General Foreman position.
Proven ability to take measures in order to provide the highest level of safety during all stages of project execution.
Competent at identifying, planning, and executing on-the-job training along with mentoring potential future leads to ensure consistent and constant delivery of work.
Must work well under pressure which include tight deadlines and challenging situations
Must ensure all proper documents are completed daily including JSA's and any other safety documnetation
Must have the ability to operate heavy equipment such as lull, fork truck, scissor lift, crane, etc.
Must have the ability to read and understand blueprints
Must have OSHA 30 certification
