Job Title: Geotechnical Engineer
Location: Detroit, MI
Duration: Direct Hire
Pay: $100,000 - $125,000

SUMMARY:

Our client is an specialized engineering firm that provides environmental and geotechnical expertise.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project planning, budgeting, task delegation and management to ensure project is completed according to work plans
Geotechnical report writing
Project Administration
Leadership, mentoring of junior staff member(s)

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Settlement analysis
Earth retention structures
Subsurface investigations: boring/test pit layout and analysis
Construction observation, materials and testing
Bearing capacity, slope stability, shallow and deep foundations, seepage, pavement, retaining walls, and dams
vibration monitoring
groundwater/hydrogeology
Experience working in the state of Michigan

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineer, or related
Must have at least 3-5 years of related work experience
Preferred - Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Geotechnical engineering is preferred.
Preferred - Professional engineering registration in the state of Michigan, or must be will and able to get one
