Pay/Salary / Duration / Hours / Other:
• PAY: $24 - $27, or based on Experience
• Six- 10 hour days

MUST BE ABLE TO PASS BACKGROUND AND DRUG SCREEN.

Job Duties/Essential Functions:

• Able to understand all aspects of HVAC installation.
• To be able to lay out duct for installation and look ahead to keep work going smoothly.
• Examine sample or damaged parts or structures to determine repairs or fabrication procedures and sequence of operations
• Cure bonded structures using portable or stationary curing equipment
• Repair or fabricate defective sections or parts using metal fabricating machines, saws, brakes, shears, and grinders
• Needs to adhere to all safety policies and regulations and the ability to spot unsafe situations and correcting them as needed.
• Must be able to sketch fitting for duct connections. Have knowledge of signals for rigging, and setting HVAC equipment with cranes, boom trucks, lulls, and forklifts.
• Have knowledge of welding and fabrication of supports for equipment.
• Needs to know the Airflow of systems as far as—Supply; Return; Exhaust.
• Needs to be able to do Quality Control to make sure that all HVAC and mechanical devices are installed according to the Manufacturer’s Instructions.
• Needs to be able to work with other trades in a professional manner
• Capable of reading not only blueprints and ductwork drawings but Architectural drawings to locate rooms, ceiling elevations, and columns.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Minimum of five (5) years of Sheet Metal experience
• Requires working in conditions of varying heat and cold and where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels.
• Courses in construction safety are a requirement.
• Be able to continue the job if Superintendent is not available
• Open-minded with a vision for continuous improvement and a good working attitude
• Ability to take on more responsibility as the business grows.
