Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Mechanical Test Engineer to work at our client's site in Bridgman, MI. This is a full-time, long-term contract assignment. In this position you will be responsible for assisting in the development of test plans and procedures related to plant modifications. You are an individual that can work independently and as a team. Roles / Responsibilities

• Prepare test procedures or other testing documents that conform with the Engineering Change (EC) testing requirements. Ensure that testing documents also conform with current Mechanical testing and industry practices and standards.
• Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) level consulting in Mechanical topics. Transfer focused discipline knowledge to project stakeholder personnel to sustain project objectives.
• Lead the performance of project technical coordination, testing, and other assigned activities to facilitate completion of Mechanical projects in a manner that emphasizes quality, cost control, schedule, and scope.
• Determine project resources required for the task and work with the project manager/work supervisors to obtain adequate support. Determine if specialty test equipment used for input simulation/testing are required.
• Facilitate specialty testing required for certain projects. Develop the plan, process, and tasks required to support testing to resolve issues with system, communication issues. Where necessary, determine if specialty outside services is required to resolve a particular problem.
• Review significant Mechanical procurement items for vendor services, project material or components. Verify that they meet project requirements using appropriate tools such as design documents. Ensure that the right scope of work is specified for project related services and that required qualification levels are appropriately documented.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required. 8-10 years' experience may be acceptable in lieu of degree.
• 3 - 5 years' experience performing construction, startup and or operational testing activities. At least 1 year should be Nuclear.
• Ability to travel to vendor facilities
• Be able to pass criminal background, drug/alcohol screen (including medical and recreational marijuana as well as CBD oil), and employment testing
