[Scheduler] Senior Planner Scheduler/ Project Controller

The Senior Planner Scheduler/Project Controller (Senior PS/CP) will be the subject matter expert for all project activities related to scheduling and will provide expertise in developing, implementing, refining, and maintaining the project schedule and cost controls. The Senior PS/CP will be the lead schedule/planner liaison for multiple stakeholders on the project and will work with the project team to ensure all resources, construction activities, and procurement, based on the project tasks and schedule, are recorded, and tracked from baselines to update to the closure of the project. The Senior PS/CP will assist the Project Manager in the development of project plans, Critical Path Method (CPM) compliance in accordance with client contract documents, and accuracy validation of subcontract vendor schedules, including progress and schedule logic conflict management. The Senior PS/CP is responsible for analyzing the internal and external schedule performance updates and presenting opportunities and deficiencies to all project stakeholders. Must be a US Citizen.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Job Duties:
• Develops, maintains, statuses, and analyzes the Project Schedule within Primavera 6. This includes managing at the resource level as well as planned dates and durations.
• Conducts in-depth schedule analysis of project schedules and their interdependencies to identify and clearly communicate potential areas of asset and/or resource conflict to the Project Team and Stakeholders.
• Prepares various schedule views for management showing variance to baseline, variance from the last forecast, remaining float, and critical path supported by analysis.
• Manages project schedule baseline and change control.
• Develops and implements requirements for resource loading, reporting, and analyzing standards, programs, and reports. Performs performance monitoring and control functions for specific applications.
• Conducts schedule integrity checks and resolves any issues.
• Communicates and coordinates schedule changes to take advantage of opportunities and mitigate conflicts.
• Maintains integration between P6 and earned value reporting.
• Prepares and supports daily, weekly, and monthly schedule reporting requirements.
• Develops resource curves and resource planning.
• Supports, attends, and leads (as needed) meetings.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Maintain project Closeout Tracker on a real-time basis.
• Report on project schedule status in staff meetings.
• Project requires working from the project site in a team environment on a daily basis.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, project management, or related technical field. Experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience with increasing responsibility.
• 10 or more years of work experience in project controls and scheduling with 5+ years on large-scale projects utilizing Primavera 6.
• 5+ years of experience with earned value management (EVM) and progress measurement approaches for construction phases of work
• Financial Analysis experience
• 5 or more years of experience (demonstration of proficiency) in administering project schedules.
• Experience with directing, planning, and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, cost-loaded schedules, and risk analysis.
• Experience with the MS Office Suite – Specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Communication skills including the ability to interact with all levels of the project team.
• Ability to plan, organize, document, perform, and review project controls and schedule with minimum supervision.
• Experience with Deltek Acumen software is not required but preferred.
