This role involves working on commercial and industrial projects, focusing on tasks such as bending EMT, stainless steel, and rigid conduit, while running wires through them. In industrial settings, the work often occurs at client sites, particularly on conveyor systems and other automated equipment that require electrical expertise. Projects may vary from short-term assignments to longer-term engagements lasting several months. Occasionally, there may be low-voltage tasks, such as running CAT5 cable for data and communication systems.
Responsibilities
* Bend EMT, stainless steel, and rigid conduit.
* Run wire through conduits in commercial and industrial settings.
* Work on conveyor systems and address electrical components.
* Service automated equipment requiring electrical expertise.
* Travel to different client sites for project assignments.
* Perform low-voltage work such as running CAT5 cable.
Essential Skills
* Proficiency in electrical theory, including working with 480v and relay logic.
* Experience in conduit bending and electrical wiring.
* Knowledge of NEC and ability to understand the flow of electricity.
* Basic controls experience with installation and wiring.
* Ability to size circuits up to 30 amps.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Completion of an apprenticeship for at least 2-3 years is preferred.
* Experience working under a Master Electrician.
* Capability to work independently after initial instruction.
* Comfortable working at heights up to 40-50 ft on a scissor or boom lift.
* Possession of a personal tool kit including a drill/impact, unibits, and a band saw.

Work Environment
Work in new builds such as warehouses and commercial buildings, or in industrial facilities on conveyor lines and automated equipment. Travel may be required, either using your vehicle or by accompanying another electrician from the workshop in Indianapolis.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr.
