HCS Renewable Energy is currently seeking a Project Manager in Central Valley, CA to manage CA based utility-scale solar portfolio.

Responsibilities

Managing Utility-Scale Solar Portfolio for projects in the US.
Implementation of project scope, schedule, monitoring of project quality control
Ensuring safety compliance
Perform technical, economic and risk analysis of solar power plant projects
Ensuring compliance with environmental requirements
Change Order Management
Interact with local zoning and permitting boards, taxing jurisdictions as well as state level Public Service Commissions
Managing Project Stakeholders(landowners, permitting agencies, regional and local transmission authorities, regulatory authorities, community and public relations)
Project communication to all parties
Complete action plan definition and follow up to achieve the projects objectives in terms of safety, quality, timeline and profitability.
Interface with construction subcontractors for all key execution matters
Complete projects risks exposure analysis and mitigation plan
Managing decisions related to the projects portfolio
Working with the origination and project finance teams, provide executive management with independent input on expected or likely range of financial results from projects put forward for approval
Enforcement of projects standards, procedures and contribution to continuous improvement

Qualifications

3-5 years Experience in Project Management
Solar Industry Background Required
Bachelors Degree Project Management, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
Proficient within Excel, Microsoft Suite programs
2-3 year experience preferred in utility scale renewable energy and understanding of associated fundamentals including Renewable Portfolio Standards, Investment Tax Credit and related incentives
Management and Leadership Skills
Project Portfolio Management Experience
Knowledge of Engineering and Procurement processes
Ability to Travel (25% of the time)
Ability to work in changing project environment
Team player and Self-driven
Ability to undertake projects at own initiative
Developed and proven negotiation skills between Subcontractors, Vendors and Governmental Authorities
Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making abilities
