Our client is seeking a construction planner/scheduler specialist to set-up and maintain resource loaded project schedules in Oracle’s Primavera P6 Professional Project Management software or MS Project (depending on client requirements), and to train and coach construction project engineers in updating project schedules, including preparing a 3 week look ahead schedule for the project.
The Estimating & Proposals team provides project estimating, planning, scheduling, and preconstruction management for multiple business lines.
Participate in required training and follow safety management system (SMS), quality management system (QMS), and environmental management system (EMS) procedures. Work with Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment (HSQE) group to incorporate safe practices and mitigate safety risks as part of construction project schedules.
Develop & maintain Proposal and Construction schedules through Primavera P6 or MS Project (per Client requirements) in accordance with best practice scheduling procedures and processes.
Ensure regular, timely communication/coordination with key project stakeholders from schedule development through schedule changes and project closure.
Train, guide, support and mentor construction Project Engineers in maintaining and updating their project schedules, across multiple projects.
Perform resource and cost loading of schedules including updating of actuals, across multiple projects, as and when required.
Collaborate with the estimating and construction project teams to set-up resource loaded project schedules.
Collaborate with construction project teams on sequencing and general understanding of means & methods and applying those effects to the schedule.
Perform schedule update process, gather daily and weekly schedule status updates from Project Engineers and stakeholders, perform verification and resolution of accurate status updates, out-of-sequence activities and schedule changes.
Perform schedule related critical path, adherence, resource, cost and earned value reporting, as required on the project.
Participate in internal department and project related meetings and coordinate efforts to obtain feedback required for continuously improving project schedules.
Participate in continuous improvement projects, initiatives, or events. Solicit input from construction project teams on process improvement initiatives.
Assist with RES’s general on-boarding program for schedule related training as needed.
May require initial temporary on-site job assignment based on renewables experience.

Critical path management (CPM) methodologies
Earned value management (EVM) methodologies, including Earned Value (EV) measurement and Cost Variance (CV) and Schedule Variance (SV) reporting on S-curves
Time management, planning, and organizing
Communication, relationship building, collaboration and teamwork
Construction project schedule preparation, monitoring, and controlling
Accuracy and attention to detail

Knowledge of construction industry and associated field concepts, practices, and procedures

Bachelor’s degree required
A minimum 5 years of experience in construction project schedule preparation, monitoring, and controlling
Must have a valid current driver license and be eligible for corporate vehicle insurance coverage.
Must be able to obtain a valid current passport to travel outside the U.S.
