Sunnova Energy Corporation is currently searching for a Michigan based PV and Energy Storage Master Electrician for the Operations Department. Domestic United States is a growing market for solar energy with energy storage due to the instability of pricing structure and, in some cases, frequency of grid outages. Our company is playing a key role in the energetic transformation of these markets through solar and energy storage systems. The PV and Energy Storage Technician's primary responsibility is to support partners and internal teams in the training, design, installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of solar electric systems, solar electric systems with energy storage, and energy management platforms. Employee must continuously seek ways to improve performance, functionality, and cost of these systems while meeting our customer's needs.
Assist partners and internal teams with the design, installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of solar Electric & Solar electric with energy storage systems
Provide training to partners, internal staff, and customers on new & existing technologies;
Provide training to service staff on how to identify and resolve issues as well as product usage and maintenance
Manage battery inventory with shelf life in focus
Evaluate storage installations to ensure they meet company's quality standards
Providing troubleshooting for all performing solar systems with energy storage
Collaborating closely with operations department technical team
When delegated by manager, support O&M in managing and resolving customer concerns and issues in a timely manner and communicate/document progress to customer and relevant Sunnova employees.
Document Control of all pertinent files
Keep up to date on technical knowledge and participate in educational trainings of new solar & storage technologies.
Develop positive and professional relationships with all channel partners, customers, and internal Sunnova personnel.
Completing quality assurance inspections, documenting corrective actions, and ensuring completion of corrective items within reasonable timelines.
Evaluate storage systems performance and provide solutions and/or ideas on how improve systems performance.
Provide post installation customers and partners support for PV plus storage installations.
Provide support post weather event where damage to grid or customer PV/storage systems occurs
Performing any other duties as assigned.
Position may require up to 50% travel
Michigan Master electrician who resides in the state of Michigan
3+ years in the Solar Electric Industry preferred.
Must possess a current, valid Driver license.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Vast Knowledge of electronics components and their functionalities
Ability to identify solutions to resolve technical design problems including electrical systems used during construction.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Shows the ability to analyze various situations accurately and quickly before providing an effective course of action.
Diagnose and troubleshoot PV and PV plus storage systems and their electrical components to ensure proper system performance.
Maintain strong organizational skills.
Must be a Qualifying Party for Sunnova's MI Contractor License
