WFG Industrial is currently Hiring Civil Helpers for the Olive Branch, Mississippi.
Position: Civil Helper
Start: August 1st. 2021
No Per-diem: Local Only
Hours: 5 x 10
Duration: 12 – 16 Months
We are looking for self-driven individuals that enjoy helping civil workers, ready to provide help to the crew in order to complete projects in time and within budget. We work mostly commercial construction, both indoors and out.
A Civil Helpers Primary Responsibilities:
Gather materials for workers to handle on job sites. Keeping job sites clean and machines serviced. Cover services with plastic material to protect them. Build scaffolding, shoring, and braces. Hold plumb bobs, sighting rods, and other equipment, to aid in establishing reference points and lines. Assist in the layout of foundation, building lines and anchor bolts. Place and set slabs and sidewalks. Unload materials from trucks. Assist with slabs and elevated structures. Frame wood. Establish reference points and lines. Smooth and sand surfaces using power sanders. Assist in other civil duties as needed
Physical Demands: May require working in extreme hot or cold weather conditions. Requires working standing on feet most of the workday and climbing ladders, stooping, bending, or squatting. May require working in cramped or uncomfortable positions. May be required to wear respiratory equipment when required. Strength rating -Heavy. May require using equipment such as brooms, shovels, wheelbarrows, jack hammers, paint brushes, etc.
