Title:  Remote Operations Center Manager

Position Type:  Direct Hire - Full time

Location:  Atlanta, GA (north metro Atlanta, GA area near Highway 75 & Windy Hill Road)

Project Description:

The Manager will lead the Remote Operations Center (ROC) team and will report to the Senior Director of Engineering. The ROC is in Atlanta, GA office building and will be operated on 24/7 basis 365 days per year. The supervisor position has overall accountability in ensuring the safe, reliable, and compliant operations of the facility.

Position Duties:

Lead a team of a minimum of four Control Room Operators (CRO) in the prudent remote operation and monitoring of multiple power generation technologies including but not limited to the following:

Reciprocating Engines
Wind Turbines
Photovoltaic Units
Gas Turbine Simple Cycle Units
Responsible for all supervisory duties including but not limited to:
Performance Management
Training and Qualification of the CRO’s
Work within the SCADA software platform to remotely monitor, startup, shutdown and reset a variety of power generation systems.
Ensures maximum reliability and up-time of the SCADA system 24 hours per day/7 days per week, maintaining a secure SCADA environment in compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.
Oversee and assist in performing SCADA system maintenance and operational changes/improvements under an established Management of Change (MOC) process including changing the system screens as needed.
Assist in developing and updating SCADA Human Machine Interface (HMI) control logic and display screens to make the control system more operator-friendly and effective. 
Maintain the SCADA object and historical databases and graphics interface links.
Work with the PIC Team to link SCADA generated information to other in-house and external information systems and databases such as Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), data analytical systems, and other related information systems.
Provide proactive system support, working closely with our customers SCADA and/or Control Room Operators.
Troubleshoot software and system components, from field device communication to the data historian, using available in-house and online support resources.
Proficient in responding with the appropriate to casualty control to alarm conditions.
Serve as the project manager for related projects to ensure qualitative and quantitative results. 
Interact with vendors and consultants on an ongoing basis.
Actively participate in safety programs and initiatives.
Demonstrate performance toward operational excellence.
Working with upper management providing Budget oversight
Regular working hours Monday thru Friday (8 hours per day)
Cover shifts as needed for sick / vacation coverage of team

Position Qualifications:       

Minimum 5 years of power generation control room operating experience including DCS and/or SCADA system screen development and logic manipulation. 
Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory role
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
Must be able to work legally in the United States without sponsorship.
