DNJP14348 - PLANNER – ST PETERSBURG, FL – 12 MONTHS – NO PD

ReNuke Services, Inc. is seeking a Planner at our client site in St. Petersburg, FL. This role is largely a virtual/hybrid role with the expectation of 1-3 days will be spent in the office per day

SUMMARY
Primarily support the project management or project development and estimating organizations with all project throughput tasks including but not limited to communicating, tracking, organizing, forecasting, project metric reporting, trend analysis and variance reporting and plan development. Facilitate implementation of the annual work plan for all projects on the planning horizon. Consult with stakeholders to gather annual work plan data, set priorities, and adjust needed to effectively match work and resources for work balance (levelization). Deliver a cost effective and efficient resource plan to the scheduling function. Monitor and optimize long range implementation plan and direct required schedule changes. Initiate and conduct monthly work plan meetings with stakeholders to ensure that business goals and objectives are being met by adhering to the plan and making necessary adjustments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• 50%: Provide day-to-day operational and tactical support to the Project Management or Development organizations. Analyze and report out on project/program data to aid in the implementation of a multi-year project and program portfolio
• 20%: Provide project/program related (financial, etc.) metric analysis support to enhance decision making efforts that drive the most effective execution of a base load project portfolio
• 20%: Collect and scrub project/program related data for submission to Leadership for approvals
• 10%: Provide project/program support such as creation of: project change requests, gate approval documentation, documents for updating, tracking and reporting of department KPIs and QBR metrics

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
• Assoc in Accounting, Business, or Engineering and 3Yr Experience
• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Business, or Engineering and 1Yr Experience

Additional Preferred Qualifications
• Project Management and bookkeeping /accounting and financial analysis experience a plus.
• Excellent communication skills – verbal, and written.
• Be able to discuss matters with all layers of Duke work force.
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office and databases.
• Be able to learn and adapt new software applications to benefit the development core team.
• Strong acumen in Excel which includes pivot table reports
• Advanced skill in SharePoint / Teams and MS Power Apps preferred
• Be a committed team player and team communicator.
• Have excellent attention to detail and validation of document correctness.
• Process multiple documents for numerous projects/programs, track and report progress.
• Be able to meet deadlines and help the team track and be aware of deadlines.
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Experienced in researching, extracting, collecting, and organizing financial and technical data
• Capable of working with minimal support and direction
• Become a subject matter expert for enterprise business reporting (Risk Register, Contingency Reporting, etc.), and act as a liaison to the project controls executing organization.
• Create and maintain databases, spreadsheets, forms, SharePoint site(s), reports, etc. to document and track processes, metrics and key performance indicators as requested.
• Make or support recommendations to improve efficiency, accuracy, timeliness and effectiveness of processes and procedures.
• Develop and maintain templates for required project documents to comply with PM Principles and Guidenlines
• Coordinate projection analysis process for Project Management
• Ensure consistency and accuracy of Project Manager project approval presentations and gate review documents
• Implement and maintain systems for reporting and tracking key performance indicators.
• Assist in the review, analysis, compilation, and preparation of technical data/information for the purpose of performing trend analysis and reporting
• Assist in project, financial, and portfolio review meeting
