Reports to:         Vice President – Renewable Energy
Status:               Exempt

Job Summary:  
PIC Group has an excellent opportunity supporting new business opportunities for the Renewable Energy Division at our client’s Houston corporate office.  Reporting to the VP of Renewable Energy, the Financial Analyst will support commercial business development of new utility-scale renewable energy and battery projects.  The Financial Analyst is involved with financial modeling including sensitivity analysis, preparing proposals and contracts for finance arrangement (tax equity, project finance etc.). The Financial Analyst will work closely with VP of Renewable Energy and support of others as needed.  Excellent pay, up to 20% annual bonus, relocation assistance, and benefits with opportunity for career advancement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Conduct sensitivity and comparable analysis of financial model according to several assumptions.
•    Analyze market pricing and congestion forecasts from advisors and order necessary modifications based on own market view nurtured through daily information gathering and analysis.
•    Prepare and arrange finance for the project such as Tax Equity, Project Finance and maintain routine communication with finance lenders.
•    Arrange and prepare proposals of Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with related parties and PPA contracts.
•    Analyze the economic feasibility of potential projects including technical inputs needed for calculation.
•    Support to arrange the transaction of potential equity sell down of project with related parties.

Job Requirements:
•    Travel up to 10% to work sites or client visits.
•    Maintain and manage financial model with external financial advisors and related parties based on the instruction of supervisor.
•    Update financial model to support valuation, planning and forecasting.
•    Attend a periodical and necessary meeting with each advisor such as Financial Advisor, Tax Advisor, Insurance Advisor and take meeting minutes.
•    Must have strong analytical and data gathering skills.
•    Experience preparing finance arrangements such as tax equity and project finance
•    Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
•    Knowledge needed with transactions for corporate PPA or similar.
•    Experience with transactions for Tax Equity arrangement for renewable energy projects or similar is a plus.
•    Strong fluency with excel formulas and functions

Physical Requirements:
•    Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to stand and sit for eight (8) or more hours in the office.
•    Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 25 pounds 

Education / Experience:
•    3+ years of business finance or other relevant experience
•    Bachelor’s Degree in related field - Accounting/Finance/Economics, etc. required
•    Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA) or similar certifications preferred.
