System Safety Engineer- Panama City Beach, FL
Sirius Technical Services is seeking a System Safety Engineer for a contract to direct opportunity in Panama City Beach, FL.
The client has been awarded an Integrated Logistics Support contract by Eastern Shipbuilding Group (ESG) for the US Coast Guard's Offshore Patrol Cutter (OPC) Detail and Construction contract. The contract will last at least five years.
The System Safety Engineer will work in close conjunction with the client subject matter experts, ESG design engineers, and engineers from our partnered companies. The position is not limited to working on the OPC. As Quantic bids other work and enters new fields, the SSE will be expected to participate in marketing his/her skills in the new work effort.
This is a two-part contract, Phase I and Phase II. During the Phase I Preliminary and Contract Design, client developed, and had approved, a System Safety Program Plan, including a Preliminary Hazard List and a Preliminary Hazard Analysis. In the Phase II Detailed Design and Construction contract, client has developed and submitted:
• Hazardous Materials Management Plan.
• Operating & Support Hazard Analysis
• System Safety Program Progress Summaries Report (SSPPR)
• System and Subsystem Hazard Analysis (SHA)
• Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA) Report [P00008]
• Health Hazard Analysis(HHA)
• Hazardous Spaces Classification Report
The candidate will have the responsibility of System Safety Analysis, identification of hazards, developing mitigations for those hazards, and entering data into a USCG Hazard Tracking System. Integration of the information into subsequent issues of the above reports will be part of the employee’s responsibility.
System Safety experience in a marine/nautical background is highly desired
