Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Critical Facility Manager to lead our data center/critical environment operations & maintenance business in Northern Virginia.

Typical work hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm; hours may vary based on business demand.
This position is responsible for the overall operation of our facility management services to multiple critical environment data centers, including ensuring the safety and well-being of its employees, safeguarding company funds and property, and representing the company with respect to the client.
This Critical Facility Manager ensures that established company goals are realized while maintaining client relations that will enhance future business, and has total responsibility for managing all aspects of the contract.
Responsibilities
Manages Critical Environment financials in support of both Maintenance and Repair and PM budget.
Oversees day-to-day operations of the Critical Environment team to attain established goals and objectives
Ensures compliance with facility operating procedures, processes, work rules, national, state and local safety and operating codes as well as regulatory compliance.
Ensures projects are completed to the satisfaction of the client, successfully managing budgets/financials, schedules, key performance indicators, and contractual requirements
Manages a team that includes Assistant Critical Facility Managers, Planner/Schedulers, and technicians.
Interacts with operations support offices, vendors, subcontractors, and customer representatives as required, and develops close working relationships with various business leaders/stakeholders throughout the organization.
Develops, plans, and implements annual shutdown program for preventive maintenance activities.
Technical knowledge of critical electrical and mechanical systems with the ability to prioritize, assign, track and trend equipment history.
Reliability maintenance
Provides leadership to the operation insuring an accident free workplace. Walks the talk.
Maximizes full use of company’s resources.
Clearly understands the roles, responsibilities, authority, and accountabilities of each team member.
Hires, works with HR on performance issues, trains and ensures all work activities are completed in a manner that exceeds the client’s expectations.
Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facility Management, Business Administration or a related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and experience in critical infrastructure maintenance OR - 8 years of operations and maintenance related work.
10+ years of operations and maintenance experience in a data center, heavy industrial, or pharmaceutical / biomedical environment, including 5 years with supervisory responsibilities.
Experience utilizing a CMMS (computerized maintenance management system).
Experience developing and managing a large scale facility budget.
Experience in contract negotiation.
Must have an active US Government Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance
Must be US Citizen
Must have a valid Drivers License
Preferred Qualifications

Have an active US Government Top Secret Security/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Clearance + Polygraph (TS/SCI + Poly).
Knowledge of data center infrastructure.
Progressive career experience in facility maintenance management.
Consistent demonstration of leadership and accountability to proactively identify potential problems or opportunities, analyze issues using all appropriate resources, develop alternatives, and arrive at the optimum approach to mitigate problems or leverage opportunities.
Staff management experience, including disciplinary action, hiring, terminating, and performance appraisals.
Working knowledge of purchasing and/or utilizing and managing subcontracts and vendors.
Experience generating cost savings through multiple continuous improvement activities.
Certification or formal training from Facility Maintenance Organizations such as IFMA, AFE or BOMA.
Experience with Microsoft Office programs such as PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Experience in new business start-ups.
